Came here from Matt Taibbi's interview on Breaking Points, of all places. Looks like a terrible movie.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is 15 years old! This was still my #1 movie of 2009 I know this is universally hated by everyone and is considered a massive step down from the first film There's no denying that there was a writers strike going on, even Michael Bay admitted it was a disaster He and the filmmakers felt the heart was missing big time Yet this still ended up being one of the highest grossing films of 2009 making $832 million worldwide The good; the action and special effects still deliver The animators who did the special effects are to be commended making all kinds of robots whether being super small or giant size I truly love all the new Autobots and Decepticons from Jolt to Arcee to Chromia to Ravage to Devastator to Rampage to Jetfire to Mixmaster to the Doctor to Demolisher The filmmakers do try to go bigger than the original film expanding the mythos even covering the origins of The Fallen from millions of years ago, Tony Todd does wonders voicing the titular villain The score by Steve Jablonsky is still very good Now onto the bad; This movie is 2 and a half hours and most compare it to suffering the same issues as 'Phantom Menace' being it has no real plot There's so many instances of toilet humor and sex jokes it's almost borderline inappropriate for kids Not to mention all the racist stereotypes mainly from voice actor Tom Kenny who plays twins Skids and Mudflap being an uncomfortable throwback to uncomfortable black sidekicks in old film Bay really needed to scale back on the amateurish humor because at times it really is baffling even sophmoric Almost every one of his films makes an appearance plus every line of dialogue leads to a punchline Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are reduced significantly Perhaps the biggest issue with this film is that it doesn't know what tone to take Bay does deliver the action and explosions but that only goes so far for a lot of script issues Even Megan Fox admitted she hated being in the desert for a majority of the shoot 'Revenge of the Fallen' is a prime example of Hollywood having a lot of money to where it is indulgent, bloated to the point where it is stupid At least it lead to several more movies not killing the franchise entirely

When Benjamin dies in Daisy's arms as a baby right near the end I can honestly say that was the first ever time in my entire life that I cried whilst watching a film. It really is an AMAZING movie. I mean yes it's a bit ridiculous because no one would be born old then get physically younger as there life went on. But that aside at it's heart it's a tragic love story about two people who want to be together but can't be because of Benjamin's condition.

I'm so glad I was in my teens in the 1980s when classic action movies like this were being made. Arnie in his prime with new films of his being released every year was an event. Compare that to the garbage being made today. Only downside being a teen from the greatest entertainment decade of the 20th century - I'm now middle aged with a bad back and in debt.

Oh...Been watched over a 1000 movies in my life, But this is the best movie ever I watched in my entire life 😭 And can't believe we have to spy our loved ones everytime 😂

I liked this movie. The cast is good, the story is good & so is the acting. The kids did a mighty fine job. I turned into an atheist after we lost my best friend's brother. So I could relate with Rev. Graham here. Definitely worth watching once. *21 June 2024*

I think her husband is loser and winner at same time and I really thinks he deserves better rather than a whore.

Happy Ending only happiness in a movie, Oh Hell nah my Boy lost his forearm now he gonna jerk? But anyways James Franco performance in this film was elite level. He definitely deserves an Oscar for this one. Its Indeed a gift that how bless we are. Imagine stuck in a cave for days. I know how it feels cz i am an asian and stuck in my home for years.

This trailer I remember seeing in front of Bridge To Terabithia back in February 2007.

It's a good movie, Hollywoodized to make them out as more heroic than they were. I do give them the fact that they did save over 1200 Jews, and were considered "heroes" by them. BUT If they needed supplies, it didn't matter who they raided / killed to get them from, Russians, Germans, Polish. Women had to pay a "tax" when joining the group for protection (as per one of the Bielski cousins who told her family). Tuvia even executed one of his lieutenants as a traitor for wanting to take some of the group and leave (similar to what he did in the movie to the one who said "the fighters should get more food, than the others"). My Grandad was from the area in Belarus (formerly Poland at the time this takes place), but left in 1921 (about the time when Tuvia joined the Polish Army), so my family (over there) knew more about them.

food inc came out around the same time as this movie. . and the guards in front of the slaughterhouses not letting anybody film felt a lot like this movie.

What an uninspired trailer.

I really with this had the "U G L Y You ain't got no alibi, you ugly" line in it. Seems it was a deleted scene only shown in the trailer in some versions of it but seems to have been lost.
